One of the fascinating things about soapmaking is that each loaf looks different, even if all the colors and techniques are the same. A soapmaker can pour a loaf, using the same colors and techniques, and still be surprised on cutting day. I LOVE the first cut on a new loaf. It is so exciting to see how the colors set, how the swirls develop, and how the layers interact. Although the ingredients are always the same, the designs are a form of art. For this soapmaker, the excitement is in trying different techniques and colors. Your bar may or may not look like the picture. In my studio, soap design is totally dependent on my mood on soap pouring day. I hope you love what I come up with. No bar is ever the same as another.
